About
Dr. Dimitrios Christoforou is a board-certified orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgeon known for his dedication to restoring function and improving quality of life for his patients both at home and abroad. In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Christoforou devotes his time and expertise to humanitarian work with the Guatemala Healing Hands Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides free surgical care, therapy, and education to children with upper extremity disabilities in Guatemala.
Since joining the Foundation, Dr. Christoforou has participated in multiple medical missions, performing complex reconstructive surgeries and helping train local providers to expand access to care long after each trip ends. His compassion, precision, and commitment to service embody the true spirit of global health outreach—using skill and heart to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
